I was only 16 so I wasn’t involved in the ordering process but I know the owners previously lived in Japan and had lots of family and friends there.

It’s just some trickery using vertical rock wall panels to section off areas, then raise the terrain up to its level with the area. After that it’s just a matter of hiding the jagged terrain edges with rocks and bushes and flowers
