one of the problems with curse of strahd (true for any pre-written module, but especially egregious here) is that it has such a well-established fanon, that people will be giving out advice and suggestions assuming everyone uses that same fanon.

January in books and music. More nonfiction this month. I actually started IWTV last Feb and then gave up on it, but decided to return to it again. For music, I basically had Tegan and Sera the Con on repeat all month, but then also a few silly songs snuck on there because of karaoke night 😅

something I hear a lot and HATE is "male dnd is about tracking encumberance and spell slots, queer dnd is about found family narratives." are we really doing the whole 'men = rational and logical, everyone else = emotional' in 2026.
