I walked out of the closet & into the emerging political movement that empowered generations of queer folks & changed our nation.

Being a part of SCOTUS protest Oct 1987 proved to me that we are always stronger together.

And in the face of hate & violence we can dream & build better futures.

Thank you Chris 💜 & your work 🧵
Honor to be a part of the growing intergenerational work & conversations we are all doing & having together.

This vintage queer knows I am here today because of brilliant & brave people who came before me.

Coming out in the mid 80’s in HS transformed me..

Excellent @startribune.com story! Police/agents also used less lethal munitions hitting the public and journalists.

Activist Geoffrey Paquette "said one officer activated a smoke canister that hit him in the face." Another shot OC into his eyes.

Infuriating to see reporters attacked. Here's @mpr.org photojournalist Kerem Yücel on a gurney in an ambulance. Caption: came "in contact with tear gas" and was hit with a projectile.

Translation: cops/agents sprayed @keremyucel.bsky.social with OC and shot him with a less lethal. 📸:Leila Navidi
