I am not sure Sha-Taran has ever felt embarassed.
He was angry, when he lost control to the Shado-Pan monastery twice within a few decades. Then, annoyed, when he had to report it to Y'Shaarj.
His first attempts of befriending Cho may have looked embarassing, but he felt fine and "happy".
