I support your right to call it art.

I don’t doubt the tagger harbors delusions that they have artistic talent.

Art is subjective I guess but I’m not considering a tagger to be an artist.

It’s interesting the way different electoral systems (top-two general, vote by mail) affect the narrative around a race.

I know the answer! When I stayed there it had a different name so it could be bad now but this hotel with its own lagoon is like a 24/7 spa.
Silica Hotel: Book Your Room at Silica Hotel
Reserve your room at Blue Lagoon Silica Hotel, a place of comfort, hospitality, and wellbeing. Experience the geothermal pleasures of the hotel’s private, mineral-rich lagoon.

Indeed yes. One did.

Just look at that modulated beauty. Too bad we’ll have to tear it down due to those visible exhaust vents.

I'm not a port commissioner or labor-aligned elected official or ED of a 501c4 reporting to a board representing a range of constituencies, so perhaps it's easy for me to be all-in for one candidate, but an endorsement should be an expression of values, not a calculation of who's going to win.

These are the people who govern the Port, which is a public entity with influence over our lives, so it makes sense to elect them. I'm advocating for them to be even more answerable to the electorate.

That is true but 6-figure probably isn’t a good way to highlight a high salary anymore as that describes the median household income in Seattle now.

Katie is probably too nice of a person to exact retribution but...I hope she at least lets their calls go to voicemail.

These rubber stamp campaigns are partly funded by organizations like Alaska Airlines with business before the Port. The longer commissioners serve, the more susceptible they are to agency capture, and pretty soon they're just cheerleaders for the Port rather than representatives of the people.

Food safety is one of modern society's great innovations. I've experienced places where that is not the case (looking at you, Cairo) and...I'm not going to go into detail about it. But we can have safe and plentiful options that provide a low-cost way for people to start a business.
