Abandoned gold extraction mill
Wall Street mining camp, Boulder County, Colorado
November 2009
Stone foundation of mill that was used to extract gold from ore in the early mining days, abandoned by the Wall Street Gold Extraction Company in 1907. Tall rectangular columnar structure with small entrance at base. Situated on steep slope of mountainside, snow covering a significant portion of the ground, scattered Ponderosa pines and Rocky Mountain junipers growing about.

Lots of construction continuing on the Peaks to Plains Trail. Hiked today from Big Easy (Jefferson County) to Oxbow/Tunnel 5 (Clear Creek County) and back. Beautiful weather.
