I'm really struggling to resist the urge to reply to people arguing for trash policies by just naming the logical fallacies they’re using. Used to do it a lot years ago. It might be time to start up again.

Pretty sure these count as my first 2 six leaf clovers.

Things found while walking: Sad starfish
It was recently alive, not now sadly. I am not near any of the local beaches. I assume a crow dropped it.

Well, after a handful of impactful and poignant conversations the last three weeks, I just reapplied to go back to college to finish my psychology degree. Scared, also, I know I can do this. I'm glad my sister nudged me just enough.

Things I remind myself to maintain a calmer, happier me. Especially when the world is a scary dumpster fire. Appreciate the things I accomplish each day, don't scold myself for what I don't. (Thank you Hank) Reflect on things that bring me joy and peace. Appreciate the people I hold dear. Breathe.

Well, this is the final placement. Everything is attached. Going to put it bath tomorrow to plate attachment points and finish plating the cedar. Probably give it a patina before sealing. Thought about adding more scrolls but decided I liked the balance of positive/negative space as is.

This is taking twice as long as expected. Keep catching myself sitting & staring at it. It's emotional. Miss that damn dog.

Gonna add one more scroll going the opposite direction, trim excess, attch, wire wrap. Wrap that's there is a temporary placeholder. Decided the round gems I made fit better.

Progress on the wall hanging I'm making with Wickets memorial gems. Round one of electroforming done. Going to add some wire wrapping and accents, then attach the gems and hanging ring. Then in it goes for the final bath. I'm very happy with how much detail the cedar held. Hopefully, that continues.

Found while walking
I grabbed what I thought was a broken chest freezer off the side of the road. I need a small broken one to retrofit for my dermestid beetles. It had trash in it, was on the curb with trash. It's not broken. I now have 3 working freezers. Scavenger life win, vulture culture fail.

Spent the day at the reptile expo with Kristin and got myself some new friends for my plant rack. 4 spider kittens (regal jumping spiders) and 2 "drawf" species of tarantula. Love my babies.

I do really love being outside so much for work. Even though it's been really cold I still love it because I get to see little magical things like this. The ice fog sparkling and creating rainbows in the sunbeam.

Things Found While Walking,
Saw this and thought, "Yup, that tracks. Things haven't been the same since then." Hahaha

He loves the tiny dog toys. He used to steal Wickets, so I just kept buying him them after she passed. He's gonna kill it in 30 seconds but its cute. Bonus, it's a three pack, so we're all happy. Haha.

This was a total accident and won't last. It was very cool looking, so I wanted to share.

The copper layer wasn't thick enough to be wearable. Otherwise, I would have sealed and kept it like this. I might try to replicate the look with a stronger piece so I can have this look be a final product.

Kinda feel like the one on the right needs something else but I'm gonna call it done. Otherwise, I'll tinkering with it until I destroy it. Happier with the one on the right than I thought I'd be. I need to find more bugs.
