Planetary scientist, dark music lover, probably need some hobbies again some day. Mercury, Moon and Minerals ❤️❤️Opinions are my own and do not represent my employer.
Most things are pretty shite right now, but I found my first raspberry in my garden box today. That makes me happy.

Hang in there, sweet baby. Maybe there is too much evil and hate in the world right now for a soul this beautiful.

Sweet Kai is having a rough time right now. I'm hoping we don't have to say goodbye. This year can fuck right off.

Almost done! Cenobites, come on in...you probably won't make things worse at this point.

Finally getting to paint again. Still a work in progress--the left side needs cleaning up and the sides you can't see in the picture are unfinished. But it's a nice way to lose myself a bit right now. If you recognize the design, let me know in the comments 😊

It was another 'beauty of the Moon will take your breath away' night tonight. Though, the dark, starry sky, now that it is mostly set, is following with a gorgeous encore. Thank you, nature. I needed that.

Nothing like the sky on cold winter nights

I'm making the biggest gothiest baby blanket ever. 25 skeins of bulky red and black yarn...

I'm not sure I ordered enough yarn...

Work and stress detox continues. Today A and I made a pound cake. Waiting for them to return from D&D to glaze it and see how it turned out. It looks like I may have leveled up in life skills, though!

Sometimes it's hard not to be stopped in your tracks by the beauty of the Moon. My phone camera can't do it justice, unfortunately.

The 8th Global Moon Village Workshop & Symposium today discussing technical and geopolitical challenges of the return to the Moon. It's inspiring to see so many people committed to returning humans to the Moon in collaboration, rather than competition, with one another. Lots to work out, though.

First time at a Moxy. It's really cute--reminds me of the vibe at the youth hostel in Lake Louise but with private comfortable rooms. And I guess I won't have to wash my dishes. I do feel a little old and frumpy for it, but maybe I'm just exhausted from traveling. Tomorrow - Moon Village Workshop!

Dumped a box that has moved offices with me out because I needed it, so I'm trying to clean up and sort the treasures from junk. Came across the first draft of my first paper to even be published. Carle's (my PhD advisor, for those who don't know me) note meant a lot. I hope I manage to be like her

I had the privilege of attending the National Space Council meeting today. Life takes a lot of weird turns. I am sure high school me would never have expected this.
