cr: Ruination - A League of Legends novel

A small Arcane reference! "Oshra Va'Zaun" is Zaun, the undercity. As far as I know, the Ruination/Ruined King lore is unrelated to the events of Arcane. But nice to see different parts of the League of Legends universe interact. #booksky

cr: Ruination - A League of Legends novel

Can't wait for them to bring to life more of the League of Legends universe, especially into animated shows like they did with Arcane. #booksky

All right. A repost of my latest bilingual intro. Since it was too long, I put it in two screenshots, one with the English version and the other with the Mandarin version. Nice to meet you all on #langsky, #booksky, #studysky!

Printed some printable sudoku. I hope this shaves off a little bit of my screen time, helps me pass some time, as well as restores and boosts my mental abilities (which I felt had declined in the time I had not been playing MOBAs and strategy games).

Here I demonstrate the Chinese stroke order for the character 必 bì. #langsky

Profile pic explainer. I drew an OC to symbolise my love for languages. As I used the Japanese kanji 語 go - "language" on his cape, I thought a Japanese name fits. I used 書 sho - "book", as I've heard "Shogo" as a Japanese name. 言葉 kotoba - "word" sounded nice to me. #langsky

Sometimes when I want to show my moots how a Chinese character is written, I do this. A lot of work just for one hanzi but may it add clarity. Pictured is the hanzi 回 huí. I write with Mandarin stroke order. I know Japanese stroke order exists but I'm used to Mandarin. #langsky

Have you heard of capital numbers? Capital numbers are a set of Chinese characters used in financial and commercial contexts to avoid alterations. You may have seen them on paper money, like 壹 in place of 一 (1).

I wonder how bad the food in this scene of Ratatouille had to be for Remy, a literal rat, to be gagging at it.

All right! I received a great question from a stranger on my Threads about Mandarin! I address it right here! I hope it benefits you if this is also a question for you! #langsky

This one is for the fellow fans sepak bola (football fans) out there: A list of some football-related vocab. But some of the vocab can apply to other sports too, or outside of sports. #langsky

Studied some IT words in Mandarin at work. Will write by hand on paper. For now, here. #langsky

Pinyin is from top to bottom. I put them in a separate screenshot due to lack of space.

A Chinese character’s tone can be read differently from how you were taught. That’s because Mandarin has tone change rules (shown in picture). But note that tone change rules are not written. So the original pinyin is the same. #langsky

Unwinding with some Ace Attorney tonight. Speaking of which, here is the word "lawyer" in a few languages.

Mandarin - 律师 lǜshī
Bahasa Indonesia - pengacara
Japanese - 弁護士 (べんごし)
