I love it when characters complicate (and improve) my plans. I think every one of my novels has at least one pass-through character who wouldn't leave and became integral to the story.

Thanks, Gary. I've thought about sequels for previous novels that lend themselves to one, but this new one begs for a sequel. I love being in that world, so it'll be fun.
