This confirm that effective immediately and continuing until new guidance on “social media screening” is issued, no new appointments for F, M, or J visas may be scheduled at consulates without high-level approval.

However, current appointments are not impacted.

This is HUGE. The Trump administration was set to end TPS for 350,000 Venezuelans next month; with another 300,000 or so set to lose their status in the fall (although the decision has yet to be formally made).
