Yeah my laptop has dual GPUs. An intel iGPU and a mobile 2060 and neither can hardware decode av1, it really annoyed me heh. I forget what I did, but I had to tell YouTube not to serve me av1 versions of videos because it always did

IIRC the nvidia 30 series is required... Like the 20 series and earlier doesn't support it. Could be wrong about that, I'm going from old memory when I was trying to figure out why my CPU usage was so high watching av1 video

Also a good way to give users the middle finger since you need relatively new hardware to support hardware decoding av1. Even newer to support hardware encoding! I used to have a bookmarked list but now I can't find it... But my ~3 year old laptop can't hardware decode AV1..
