Update: All votes are now in and Andrew ended up 257 votes (0.89%) short of a *major* upset in the Harrisonburg/Rockingham seat for the #Virginia House of Delegates anchored at James Madison University.
This was the closest HoD race for 2025.

Also: I was annoyed provisional ballots weren't reallocated back to precincts like early in-person early ballots and mail-in absentee ballots (regular and PE), so we passed my bill SB 1044 this year to do that.
So now you can see provisional vote totals by precinct.

§ 24.2-667.1. Reporting of results; absentee and provisional votes. A. The general registrar shall report to the Department for each precinct in his locality the number and results of absentee ballots cast by voters assigned to such precinct. Results from absentee voting and voting at the precinct on election day shall be reported separately. The general registrar shall also report to the Department of Elections the number and results of absentee ballots cast early in person pursuant to § 24.2-701.1 separately from the number and results of all other absentee ballots. The Department shall establish standards for ascertaining and reporting such information. Such standards shall direct that all results be posted promptly and no later than 5:00 p.m. on the tenth day after the election day. B. The general registrar shall report to the Department for each precinct in his locality the total number of provisional ballots cast, the number of those provisional ballots determined to be valid by the electoral board, and the results of such valid provisional ballots by voters assigned to such precinct. Results from provisional voting and voting at the precinct on election day shall be reported separately. The Department shall establish standards for ascertaining and reporting such information. Such standards shall direct that all results be posted promptly and no later than 5:00 p.m. on the tenth day after the election day.

It’s been a busy Saturday:
✅Launched a canvass in Arlington with HRC and Equality Virginia PAC.
✅Had a constituent meeting at Baldwin Park in Manassas re: road safety and FOIA fee reform.
✅Marched in the Manassas Veterans Day Parade.
✅Had another constituent meeting in Bristow re: public service.

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone sued them for breaking state law under the guise that they’re being compelled by the federal administration even though they have an option of fighting back.

Last night, I spoke at a town hall-style meeting Manassas. There was left over food.
So I called my constituent Helen with CFH pantry.
She able to feed 5 families in need at one of our mobile home parks.
This morning, I attended an event in Manassas Park. Same thing: More left overs being donated.

It was great seeing Patricia Richie-Folks at events during the last week.

We both earned our first election in 2017 and since then, I’ve watched her exemplify professionalism and emphasize customer service.

Today, I walked a 5K in Arlington for my friend, former colleague and former Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton to raise money to help find a cure for PSP.

I then drove to the Giant in Gainesville where I donated four bags of groceries to help stock local food pantries through PWC Hunger Free. #Virginia

This is also the first election since my bill SB 1044 was signed into law and went into effect July 1 in which provisional ballots are reallocated to individual precincts instead of only being counted at the locality level so we have more precise data.
Here’s an example of how reporting looks now:
