My father, twice wounded, earned this Purple Heart fighting fascism in Europe during WW2. Was it worth it? He is no longer with us. I am glad he will not witness what has happened in our country.

There used to be compassion in our country. This grave is that of an unknown traveler who rode on his horse to a service at our church and then died as he was leaving. Known only as JG from initials on his belongings. The first to buried, his grave has been always maintained. Note the date, 1790.
