but just as much as I like to meander through prose, I like when something cuts. quick, sharp, to the point. action and banter, namely, beg this sort of bite that I really do enjoy writing even if the narratives I explore often don't necessitate them. same for methods : dressing a kill, alchemy.

I enjoy sensations and metaphor, and exposition woven through memory. when it makes sense, I (live) for meandering, near-nonsensical detours through a character's past as if they themselves are reliving it. the taste of dinner spice on a lover's mouth dragging them right back to mother's table, etc.

I think each of my gaggle would recognize her as a ghost but it wouldn't change anything because they're used to ghosts. I have to admit I have thought about ruina and her interacting, especially in the canon where ruina herself lingers as a wraith. what if there were (two) haunting ghosts.

he wasn't brought back proper in my canon, but in the spirit of unfinished business he lingered as a wraith in ishgard and was granted refuge in ruina's quarter ; through her ysayle saw his dreams realized. you know I cannot resist chthonic ghost yuri.

did not even see that one if I'm being honest. I know the shop owner is a woman of color but still, I never know what these perfumers mean when they include "pale skin" as a note description unless they mean lead paint. gross.

in general, I don't appreciate these sentiments from people I don't know, but from friends, followers, and fellow artists it gives me good reason to think "maybe I really should investigate," not only to ensure there's nothing too close (there rarely, if ever, is) but to enjoy the art for art's sake
