It wasn't meant to be a "you're beautiful because of your disabilities" moment it was (imo) but a "I've always found you to be worthy of admiration and always have seen you as perfect/beautiful, you don't need to erase any part of yourself."

To wipe imperfections from humanity for perfection, which spoiler alert does not exist. Jayce says that he always found Viktor beautiful and perfect, not despite his disabilities but alongside them.

Desperate for change not only to live but to transcend these human weaknesses. Disabilities are uncomfortable and inconveniences, but they do not make us weaker than others. They aren't things that make us magically better, kinder, or something, or either. They just are.

I saw it as a slightly different. Viktor wanted to change for multiple reasons: he was in pain, struggled getting around, he was dying, but he also found these things to be weaknesses and unsightly - which they aren't.
