bumping this as i need to start making people aware of this again... i had gotten lax as i DID get a job offer... but the job does not start until january next year.

I don't think an official SteamOS would kill Windows. There a lot of things that have been done to ease people into Linux but there are a lot of annoying things that some people just won't put up with. Like you really do have to re-learn how to use your computer and be ready to troubleshoot
