Unfortunately that didn't help me. I just gave up, I'm going to just get blood drawn instead of these at-home tests

Yeah it's spring loaded but the gauge is tiny. Unfortunately the largest I saw available was 30g x_x

Unfortunately the closest thing we have to a gay clinic here just directs people to Mistr, which is the reason I'm trying to use them now

I may just have to go to my regular doctor (which is a pain to get to x_x) and hope he is even familiar with PrEP

Tried that in like 10 different spots on different fingers on each hand and each time could only get the tiniest drop of blood out before it stopped

Couldn't even fill three of the 5 circles on the first card <<

I think they require specific labs, at least if I want the cost covered

Gonna buy some more pokes and hope I can squeeze enough out of my body << not having easy access to doctors offices/labs is one of the main reasons I'm even using Mistr, so needing to do that anyway would suck lol

I did and was only able to get a drop x_x

I used up all the single-use lancets they sent and don't really have anything that I can poke myself open with to try again

I know it does 👅👅👅
Now give me more 💦
November 28, 2025 at 6:36 PM
Yeah I think you hit it on the nail there. I'll probably ask the doctor more about the 2-1-1 method

Guilty 😔

That's a good idea
November 26, 2025 at 12:51 AM
That makes sense

I think what worries me is if I could miss warning signs to stop taking it, since I already deal with some stuff like fatigue and GI issues that could mask it. I suppose if it was a prep complication, those would be noticeably worse though, so maybe I'm overthinking

"don't read things" but then how else will my autism overthink? 😹

You're right though, which I think is why I'm asking for others' experiences here to so my brain can focus less on "rare complications are XYZ" and think more about actual experiences people have had?

If you're comfortable sharing, DMs work ^^

Did you end up with any permanent issues with the liver, or serious symptoms, or was it caught through tests before anything serious happened? (Also, totally understand if you don't want to share the details)
November 25, 2025 at 10:58 PM
That's fair

I feel kinda silly because I got LASIK a couple years ago, which could have left me with chronic pain, or reduced or lost vision, so it's not the first time I've considered rare complications but it just feels different with a daily medication compared to a procedure?
November 25, 2025 at 10:56 PM
I was recommended to go through Mistr and their site only mentions the daily approach (I assume because it's got more data?) but maybe I'll ask about the 2/1/1 thing

I'm sensing something tasty in the shower
