Nothing I’ve read this year has enraptured me more than Suttree, a novel told in such stark detail and authentic emotion that every page feels lived rather than invented. Its beauty, wisdom and sorrow are unceasing and unforgettable and it’s a piece of art I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.
