In the first Quest for Glory game, if you're specifically playing a Thief I think, you started with lockpicks and could pick doors.
You could also type "Pick nose" or "Pick nose with lockpick" and then die after the Hero shoves it in too far... ***unless*** You were 40 in picking. Then you got XP.
