Yeah I need to get north of the border for TTS one year too. They always run it right on the first week of the school year which makes it really tricky. Keen to fly up and get my fill of Bucky and neeps though, despite being a big ol' sassenach.

Extremely jealous and dying to know what you've found

I can't say too much about the new game from @theoldkingscrown.bsky.social other than it's a new game in the Old King's Crown universe, and that I enjoyed it massively and want to play again right away.

Tag Team is a clever little deck builder/auto battler which was much better than I expected.

Railway Boom is hot and new and really good. Train network building combined with clever auction mechanisms, I can't wait to play again.

Bean to Bar is a hard to source Japanese game about making chocolate. Kinda Splotter feel but less harsh, very good!.

Suburbia is a classic tableau builder with just the right amount of spite drafting, great fun. Let's Make a Bus Route was first shown to me by @timclare.bsky.social a couple of years ago and I bought a copy because I enjoyed it so much.

I'd throw Watergate into the mix too. Like a much lighter Twilight Struggle, card driven tug of war with a little geometric puzzle that doesn't last too long.

I certainly do. I was due to play with you and Marton but the plans went sideways, but I'll definitely be up to play :)

A lot of people say So Clover in the same breath as Just One. As much as I love the solves for So Clover, and find the game really interesting, it kinda feels anticlimactic when each board is solved.

Good choices. I often reach for Just One, Monikers, Wavelength, Cockroach Poker, or Herd Mentality, which is like Green Team Wins but with a more UK focus in the questions instead of US.

Scene: The family are sat around the dinner table in a turkey-induced stupor. What would you recommend a group of 4-8 people of mixed ages play around the table. Bonus points if it means you don't need to completely clear the table first.

I have my own thoughts, curious to see what you'd choose.
