And as for not keeping campaign promises, I learned that NO winner of an office can keep them all, no matter how tailored they make them for audiences. Democracy is messy, as it is intended to be. It's only when the official completely reneges on a promise, or reverses position, that I get angry.

It's sad, really. After I registered to vote in 1974, I had ballots mailed to me at college and voted in every election, right down to the town council and school board elections.
