That £300 off energy bills seems to be going well
December 4, 2025 at 1:49 PM
I literally haven’t said it isn’t happening, I’ve just said if it is they should report it and make the case.
December 4, 2025 at 1:49 PM
Unlike you I don’t take people’s word as true just because they’ve made a video on the internet.

If there’s evidence of abuse, then Mothin and the nutters he’s visited can submit a complaint and make their case.
December 4, 2025 at 1:12 PM
They have chosen to go on hunger strike, the only thing they are being abused by is their own stupidity
December 4, 2025 at 1:04 PM
Anybody else remember the £300 off energy bills we were all promised. Seems to be going well….
December 4, 2025 at 1:00 PM
It’s such a shame because there was such an easy way for them to not be in this position…

That is not to break into an RAF base and vandalise military planes.

If you think people for whom rumours and non-denials of an exit tax was the last straw and did leave, are going to come back after going through the effort to move assets, etc then I’d like some of what you’re taking
December 2, 2025 at 10:26 AM
The rumours were fuelled by briefings from within the Treasury, journalists didn’t just make up a story and print it, they were briefed that an exit tax was under consideration
December 1, 2025 at 11:11 PM
You can dislike Badenoch while also acknowledging the way the Budget was handled massively hindered growth and yes people did actually leave because of exit tax rumours, it’s not a secret. Even Labour supporting tax experts Dan Neidle have talked about people leaving the UK due to these rumours.

Page 21 of the Labour manifesto “Labour will not increase taxes on working people”

Rachel Reeves: increases taxes on working people

Shocked that even 19% of people find her trustworthy
December 1, 2025 at 10:03 PM
With the amount of promises Reeves has broken who’d believe her if she did rule it out?

If anything that’d make me think it’s more likely to happen.
November 29, 2025 at 8:04 PM
Tbf we can’t discount that she did all her tax cuts at the same time as announcing a policy to cap energy bills that was estimated at £120b+. If she’d done it over a period of time instead of all at once who knows what might have happened🤷‍♂️
November 28, 2025 at 2:24 PM
How do you pay for public services without growth?
November 28, 2025 at 2:22 PM
How dare a broadcaster criticise an unpopular government that just raised everyone’s taxes
November 28, 2025 at 2:19 PM
You do know that this is the market saying we can pay our debts, not that the Budget will improve things for working people?

I like how you say Reeves or Truss as if their Budgets are the only two possible Budgets a chancellor could ever give and no other options exist
November 27, 2025 at 7:55 AM
I’m not even a Tory but okay.

I asked for some positive metrics and you said growth (which is down from when she took over) and improved outcomes for workers (whose disposable income growth is slashed).

Sounds like someone’s got a bit touchy when some economic reality is presented

You can have all the wage growth you want but if real household disposable income growth is slashed from 3% pa to 0.25% pa I don’t think you can say you’re a successful chancellor in any sense of the word
November 27, 2025 at 12:00 AM
Even though growth has been revised up, it’s still down on before she took over. Plus the OBR has downgraded their growth forecasts for the rest of this parliament.

Also the OBR has massively slashed its estimates for growth in real household income from 3% to 0.25% how does that benefit workers?
November 27, 2025 at 12:00 AM
If raising taxes on working people and slashing growth in living standards is your idea of a great Budget, I’d hate to see what a bad one looks like
November 26, 2025 at 9:55 PM
How do you pay for measures that keep children out of poverty without growth?
November 26, 2025 at 9:47 PM
Yes they have, “Real GDP is forecast to grow by 1.5 per cent on average over the forecast, 0.3 percentage points slower than we projected in March, due to lower underlying productivity growth” direct from the OBR report
November 26, 2025 at 9:44 PM
Well under what metric has the economy improved since she took over?
November 26, 2025 at 7:35 PM
Our economy is terrified
November 26, 2025 at 7:33 PM
How does increasing taxes on workers help with the cost of living?
November 26, 2025 at 7:31 PM
Under what metric is the economy in a better state since Labour took over?
