A misguided kindness, perhaps, as the #Canucks let us all enjoy as much of Quinn's magic per game while he is still here. 🥲
#Canucks Quinn Hughes' ice time the last three games:
30:05, 28:31, 29:39.
Has played under 24 minutes once in 18 games this year

The #Canucks had a 33.33% shooting percentage in last night’s game❗️5 for 15❗️Against Bobrovsky‼️ And still lost! 🤣
EP40's shooting % climbed from 12.9% to 18.2% as he scored on 100% of his shots (2g on 2SOG) in tonight's game for 6g's on 32SOG on the season.

[For Patera, the game was] the equivalent to John McClane welcoming Sergeant Powell to the “party” by dropping a corpse on his cop car.”

Occasional great save?
Flying V jersey (in the stands)?
Nifty goals?
Tons of heart?
Still totally outplayed and lost 8-5?

#Canucks v FLA or 1980s Oilers?

5 goals on 16 shots for the #Canucks!? What is this game? 🤣
November 17, 2025 at 12:37 AM
Wow! Successful coach's challenge. #Canucks catch a break because they were really chasing the play after the puck was hit with a high-stick.
November 17, 2025 at 12:32 AM
Only thing funnier would be if they took a 2-goal lead... 🤣
The Never Day Sie #Canucks strike again.

Absolutely hilarious that this game is tied.

Hockey is such a weird, weird game. #Canucks have no business being in the lead, but here we are 4-2 Vancouver in the third on just 13 shots.

[Not complaining -- just a little bewildered. 🙃]

Lovely move by EP40 on the power play to step around Gourde and get the shot. DeBrusk bangs home the rebound and the #Canucks are back within one.

The #Canucks are battling injuries and missing key players, but giving up a goal in the last minute of the first seems particularly worrying when they are on pace for a whopping 3 shots on goal this game.
November 16, 2025 at 10:56 PM
I'd be happier with #Canucks sitting in a scoreless tie with the TBL 15+ minutes into the first period if they'd managed more than a single shot on net.

At its core PITB is high-quality hockey analysis: penetrating, sharp-eyed, and thoughtful. The engaging style makes it worth reading, even when the play it’s dissecting was painful to have watched (as a #canucks fan).

The fan experience is better for it.

The silly references, groan-inducing wordplay, and endlessly creative similes are entertaining! And over the past decade, the quality of the written product has been far more consistent than the on-ice one.

PITB keeps me from being depressed by my escapist entertainment ( #Canucks ).

“The Hurricanes fired a whopping 18 shots on goal in the second period, but Lankinen turned them all aside like a picky debutante.”

No one would have been surprised if he had skipped this one, but Daniel is bringing the gold, as usual.

Best #Canucks coverage I’ve read in decades following this team. I don’t think I’ve missed one of Daniel’s posts since he started the original blog.

Not only was the Times obsessed with Hillary Clinton's emails while ignoring emails about Donald Trump sent to its own reporter, but since then it has constantly attacked anyone who dared look into questions of Trump's character. All with sanctimony.

Now we know it was all a big lie.

I don't think legacy media is reading the room correctly on the Epstein Files. Many of us are asking why they have ignored this story for the last decade? Why did they dismiss all of us who were concerned that Trump might be compromised? And where is their fucking contrition and apology now?

Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

Well fuck. Still admiring the nice passing play that ended with Hellebuyck making a beautiful stop on DeBrusk and Hughes is leaving the ice with an injury. Experience #canucks hockey. 😱

Great shot, Jake! #Canucks take the lead on a power play goal.

So impressed with #Canucks taking this game to OT, battling back every time Colorado took the lead.

Love to see EP#40 finish it.
