My best photo of totality isn't of the eclipse at all... it's of a light fitting in the Rockefeller Center. So, why do I say it's my best eclipse photo? Because it perfectly illustrates how exposing for the corona gives the impression of a pitch black sky, it's actually nighttime blue!
