I'm eager to find out what you learn as you find out how to unlock/tap into the power of the Duck Stone.

Could be your super-human origin story.

First is behavioral review: if it was just an unlucky fox, it won't be displaying other symptoms or behaviors.

Sadly, if it is suspected, they do euthanize the animal for testing.

Rabies in humans without timely vaccination is still considered 100% fatal.

Call animal control.

Sorry to say, but *really* important: DON'T DO THIS.

Call animal control instead—a fox with quills is much more likely to be rabid, which would have led to the altercation that got it injured in the first place.

Do not take the risk, and do not interact. Let it be trapped, tested, and treated.

It showcases alternate paths of ingenuity and invention, interesting problems solved interesting ways which have since been obviated, abstracted away, or conquered in a more elegant fashion

It's a way to peer inside problem solving of the moment.

For those interested in the ritualistic and monumental places of ancestral peoples, I cannot recommend Dr. Kelly's "The Memory Code" highly enough. Its narrative approach to the anthropology of pre-literate memory is filled with a deep respect and affection for humanity and its grand endeavors.

My encounter of your work was also completely lateral: I was investigating cognitive dynamics of space in creative contexts ("how do humans use space to think?") related to Virtual Reality development and scenic placemaking. The underlying anthropology and neurophysiology has been *fascinating*!

Oh, hey! I should have checked before, but @lynne-kelly-42.bsky.social is here!

THANK YOU for your work to celebrate and share your insights on these memory systems, it has been so eye opening/mind expanding, and gave me such a profound respect and affection for these people.

Mast year for your area; our oaks did that a couple years ago, this year seems to be a mast year for maples.

I think we need to condition ourselves to respond to his outlandish behavior with mockery: not with outrage, or silence, but be primed to laugh him to scorn and rob him of any sense of power or control in the situation.

I'm especially impressed that the sculptor of that figure behind the subject was able to account for the shape of the plinth upon which it would stand (given that they're apparently different cuts of stone).

Love this work!
