For what it's worth, Governor Elect Mikie Sherrill came out against the Senate vote early Sunday evening. I take her at her word, she's pretty upset since this was a central campaign thing, and hopefully, New Jersey keeps moving further to solidify the state-run health exchange from the Federal one.

Yeah, I certainly am making a broad generalization but that's partially because I (a relatively well read news reader) didn't see the party coming together at all. This was, in my eye, a failure of messaging and leadership. They were so disconnected from their base they couldn't celebrate with them.

I was gonna go with green ectoplasm if I colored it, but I think my patrons appreciated just leaving it up to interpretation.

I'd say that's the first paragraph to a long story about fixing the damn party.

In my estimation, this comes back to Schumer who because of his posture against Zohran Mamdani, could not celebrate the victories that night. It probably hampered any kind of coherent messaging Democrats could have used, if they even wanted to. And now they probably want to fundraise off this shit.

They likely had planned to cave after the election, no matter what the outcome showed them. There were no Senators publicly rallying around the clear signal that the voters sent them. They were, are, committed to the position that they are doomed unless they accept Republican framing on the issues.
