We've been drawing Ψ's with photons on chips for years. Using our Omega platform we've miniaturized (x50) and improved control (>x20).

We’re excited to introduce Construct, the first purpose-built software platform for fault-tolerant quantum computing.

Our architecture relies on large arrays of classical lasers to drive photon sources—too many for bulky, off-the-shelf solutions to scale affordably.

We’re reducing cost by integrating classical components on-chip, using the same photonics platform we built for quantum computing.
June 24, 2025 at 5:24 PM
From the start, we’ve been singularly focused on building fault-tolerant quantum computers at the million-qubit scale.

This year we're breaking ground on the real thing, two utility-scale quantum computers in Brisbane and Chicago.

Our photonic qubits travel from different modules through standard optical fiber for fusion and must arrive synchronously. We can now passively control optical fiber, over the length of a mile, to a fraction of the width of a human hair—on spec for fusion-based quantum computing.

Big news for South Chicago: @psiquantum.bsky.social is investing $10K in Bowen High School’s STEM program — funding hands-on tools like VR, drones and robotics. It’s part of their commitment to supporting students near the IQMP. More via @blockclubchi.bsky.social:
Bowen HS Science Program Gets $10K From PsiQuantum, A South Works Campus Tenant
The donation quadruples the typical science department budget at the South Chicago school, where students have been learning through a quantum science lens, school leaders said.

Quantum computing offers a radically new approach to modeling catalytic reactions, going beyond classical approximations to capture the full complexity of chemical dynamics.

Before PsiQuantum, our co-founders Jeremy O’Brien and Pete Shadbolt put the very first quantum processor on the cloud.

As teams around the world begin to scale up quantum computing systems, the need to connect chips together increasingly appears as a bottleneck. Our UK team just demonstrated a time-encoded lab-to-lab qubit interconnect over 250m of standard telecom fiber with 99.6% ±0.2% fidelity.

The next generation of our cryogenic cabinet is engineered to cool over 100 quantum chips from our Omega platform to liquid helium temperature. We will soon be welcoming this module at our facility in the UK and another cabinet at our new test and manufacturing facility in Silicon Valley.

Encouraging to see the whole field of quantum computing now beginning to take seriously the datacenter-like scaling challenges which motivated our founders to choose photons 25 years ago. Hear more from Pete Shadbolt tomorrow at NVIDIA's Quantum Day #GTC25.

High-throughput testing is a critical and often overlooked part of the process of scaling from breakthrough devices in a research lab to a reliable, high-volume manufacturing process suitable for building million-qubit machines.

Photonic quantum computing has long dreamed of optical switches with well-beyond state-of-the-art performance.

We developed a 300mm manufacturing process for one of the strongest electro-optic materials known to science, barium titanate (BTO).

The performance of the photonic components in our Omega chipset, recently reported in Nature, is already beyond-state-of-the-art. However, the data in the paper is more than a year old. We have since continued to improve waveguide losses and other device characteristics.

“That has really been our approach … to leverage the same fabs, the same contract manufacturers, as far as humanly possible the same networking and so on that is used in conventional data centers, conventional supercomputers ... And we think that gives us a much faster path.”
