Both have their drawbacks, and that's kinda fun. Resin is, though of course, way better if you make the proper precautions. Usually comes in the form of a room with proper ventilation, and a gas mask (preferably without asbestos). Haven't worked with resin myself, but that's the advice I've gathered

Depends on the material, and how it is applied. I printed an ergonomic mount for my 3DS with filament, and I had to sand it down. Definitely better with resin products tho, since filament can loosen during sanding.

Definitely a bummer on the 3ds. My Vita can stream over its charging port. It's insanely cool what people can program.
