@swajones.bsky.social a pic from the expired illegal concessions stealing a long stretch of beach from Guardamar & their residents ur so foolishly r defending. Equally illegal all the rocks & concrete they've been dumping to delay the inevitable.

And now one of the key wargaming bloggers in Spain celebrating this as a stroke of genius publicity... It goes o show this is not just a loud and vocal minority. Many in the hobby in Spain do not see this as problematic.

To think they promote this game in Bellota24 in Badajoz where these troops during this campaign killed between 1800-4000 civilians in what is known as the Badajoz slaughter just drives me nuts

Yet the designer says civilians are not part of the design, that the focus is purely operational. In a political context of far right whitewashing of Franco's regime and his generals in Spain and their efforts not to recognise the victims of the dictatorship u can imagine how this feels.

This is Mark Herman's on Hexasim's Waterloo. Eylau 1807 from Sound of Drums proposes an v intriguing take on chit pull. I don't know if u have seen the detailed line up of future Vuca games (www.youtube.com/live/pXMFPzq...) but their 1812 Napoleon's also suggest interesting take on FoW
