I am mostly just here to read posts from people whose opinions I respect, many of whom moved from another site because it got taken over by a basket of deplorables. (He/him/his)
I'm bummed it wasn't a full series. 😞

Is that Kirby?

Isn't this illegal anyway, though? How is this not insider trading?

You silly bot.
November 13, 2025 at 5:02 PM
Yeah, you are.
November 13, 2025 at 4:59 PM
That was a fabricated quote. It never happened. It was debunked by a couple news organizations. Also, are you a bot? You have to tell me if you're a bot. It's the law. Otherwise it's entrapment.

Thanks for understanding, sir! I really thought you were a jerk. Good to know some people can listen to reason here. Thank you!

(Unless you're a chick. I never thank chicks.)

I teased a person that was screaming, "get the FUCK OUT OF HERE" at me with very little provocation. Clearly I'm the next Andrew Tate. I was just being a smart-ass.

You're so intent at finding evil intent in anyone who disagrees w/you, how do you find the time to build up that level of sanctimony?
November 13, 2025 at 3:47 PM
I do that, too. Thanks! Giving to Dem. candidates isn't about altruism or charity. It's totally self interest. I don't want my kids growing up in a totalitarian state, and I believe Democratic candidates are the only realistic way of fixing that, for now. If a Dem. Socialist can win, I'll donate.
November 13, 2025 at 1:44 PM
Thanks, but I vote and donate Democrat because some of them are good people. I don't agree with every choice they make, but I still support them. Harris is an incredible person, and may have been our best president yet. They're not some secret cabal & they're definitely not fascists.

I'd copy and paste it for you, but it'll take like a hundred posts. I'm not Seth Abramson. I wish I was, though. That guy's smart.
Can't believe I stayed up this late tilting at windmills. I'll shut up now. The proletariat has won, as it should be. I'll stay home in November & watch the world burn.
November 13, 2025 at 8:57 AM
They don't have a right. It's not about them. It's purely self interest. Do you want Trump to have unlimited power for 2 more years or do you want some shackles on this insane madman? Will you and your loved ones be better off with a Democratic Congress or a Republican Congress?
November 13, 2025 at 8:38 AM
Oh, we're probably screwed no matter what. So many Americans seem to have given up on democracy, one way or another. I think about Germans in the 1930's, the ones who weren't racist assholes. When did they realize it was too late? Are we there yet or not?

I keep asking people to read this. I think it makes a lot of good points, and says it all much better than I'm doing, obviously.

Only one of those 7 were leadership. One wasn't even a Democrat. Schumer couldn't make them vote differently. 7 Democrats chose to break ranks. Leadership did not say, "Hey, let's not be unified!" Also, some of those 7 made valid points as to why they voted yes. It was a morally difficult situation.
November 13, 2025 at 8:16 AM
How has the Democratic leadership made clear they don't support unity? What can they do differently?
November 13, 2025 at 8:02 AM
(Except I'm in a red state from hell, so that's not going to happen.)
November 13, 2025 at 7:59 AM
I understand that completely. It comes from a place of reason. All I'm asking is people stop trashing what I believe is our only hope, and IF your progressive candidate loses the primary, vote for the Democrat. If your progressive candidate wins the primary, I'll gladly vote for them.
November 13, 2025 at 7:57 AM
BTW, if you're saying in your last post that you voted for Trump, let's just stop. I'm not here to convince you of anything.
November 13, 2025 at 7:51 AM
As to why people voted for Trump, it might just be that they are also racist pieces of trash. Nothing Harris did or didn't do could change that.
November 13, 2025 at 7:49 AM
I am the left. I'm as progressive as anyone on this thread. I still voted for Harris because Trump is a racist piece of crap, and despite any faults, she was infinitely better. And, being an adult, even though I didn't love her stance on Gaza, for instance, not voting for her was a vote for Trump.
