The answer imo is addiction.

X as a website uses a lot of different techniques in order to draw people in & form habits. Part of it is unintentional, part of it is by design.

Bsky maintains a lot of unintentional addicting elements but isn't maliciously designed in the same way X is.

The silhouette of A is significantly stronger imo. The sharp edges of hair A communicates information about the character at a glance. Hair B is much less defined and you need to rely on other character traits and accessories to get across that same info.

The 300 character limit might bite me in the ass here because my thoughts on the Twitch Partner system are very complicated & conflicted, but I feel like Twitch's difference in treatment would be where the 'partnered streamer bad' sentiment comes from.

Maybe this is a hot take and I'd like to hear your opinion, but I feel like over the years Twitch as a platform have done various things to position Twitch Partners as 'above' non-partnered streamers, even though this isn't the reality. Is that something you've noticed?

That's all so fucked, anecdotally it seems like this is something that happens a lot to people and it's disgusting.

Hopefully now you can start to see some improvement. I'm just someone who sees your art on the TL from time to time, but I'm rooting for you!

It's crazy to me that Kirby Air Riders of all things is the Switch 2 game with the most potential and excitement around it.

(I'm currently designing a Roguelite game about making Rube Goldberg machines, but I don't want it to feel like "just another game trying to be Balatro", so I'm curious what other people think could be improved on in games like that.)

It's about the money imo.

YouTube are financially incentivized to push creators to make videos that any corporation would feel comfortable advertising in front of, but there is no financial incentive to limit what advertisers can publish (unless it gets a lot of press.)

Also to add because it's for sure warranted with this one, most models from this are assets I've gathered over the years that I have made slight modifications to and retextured.

I've been trying to texture paint a character's head for hours and it's really gotten to me.

I might be scaling some things back unless I can figure something out. If anyone has any good resources on learning to texture paint from scratch, that would be fantastic.
