I watched Super Bowl V, Baltimore Colts beat Cowboys on O'Briens field goal. I was young--once--but have never understood the half time show. How about a video montage of best plays of the year? Get Hanson from RedZone...THAT, i would watch.

Not clear, but it sounds like GOP spent a lot of money for a state senate seat, so it couldn't have been as meaningless as suggested. I lived in FW as a teenager, this is pretty remarkable no matter the contingencies...

Gravitas in our political leaders is a fever dream. I repeat, if the marjority of voters wanted it, Adlai Ewing Stevenson would have been president. Nixon made it b/c LBJ failed, and Nixon courted the race obsessed south. I'd value seeing Pritzker at the helm, but I'm not naive...
