We don't have big penalties, but we 🇦🇺 do have:
✅ Compulsory voting
✅ Elections on Saturdays
✅ Postal/absentee/early voting
✅ Independent nonpartisan electoral commission
✅ Electorates sized by population

Some folk still submit a blank form (or draw 🍆🍒)...

On the NYT right now:
Iranian government killing protesters = bad.
US government killing protesters = good

I've been meaning to reread Earthsea for a while.

I read the 4th book... I think only a few years after it came out? And the original trilogy years before that. Haven't read the newer ones at all.
