Guard regiments exclusively recruiting one gender has always been the rare exception.

When I was a kid, I read that anyone born on Cadia who couldn't operate a lasgun by age 10 was born on the wrong planet - the notion that applied strictly to cis white men never once crossed my mind 😅

2025 was a big year for knocking out 2 of my AoS horde armies, so I'm hoping to put a lot of work into 40k again. Hoping to finish a 4,000pt Iron Warriors army and around 5,000pts of Emperor's Children. Maybe kick off my Battle Sisters if time permits.

Why would I want to do that? I haven't even considered selling a mini since that time I couldn't pay my bills or mortgage or find a higher paying job and- ohhhhhh.

I painted 100 of those for a commission job some 12 years ago now. War factory(?) Or something along those lines? I remember they were one of many manufacturers springing up at time, along with Mantic and Chapterhouse - capitalising on the sharp decline GW took in the early 2010s...

I've resuscitated my 17yr old desktop for this and offline gaming. These game discs aren't playing themselves.
Something more portable would be nice though, I find that easier than writing at the desk.

I'd entertain sharing sensitive information if services weren't so blaise it leaking when their security is breached. Online fraud is rampant and all of them handball that back to the user. No thanks.

I can't explain why, but this feels adjacent to a weirdly specific corner of the miniature/wargaming hobby who get really bent out of shape when their horses or dogs and whatnot are sculpted without any discernable genitals.
And just like that, I'm confused and amused in equal measure.
