With a Master's Degree in Urban Planning from McGill University and experience working for the City of Toronto, Laura returned to Regina a few years ago and works for the City of Regina.

Short excerpt of a walk I did with Tasha Alexson through Regina’s downtown. We checked out a mural devoted to local restaurateur Robert Gardikiotis who worked hard to try and make Regina’s downtown a vibrant destination in the face of bad decisions by major property owners and City Councils.

The first walk shot for Project Pedestrian was across Paris to visit the tomb of the great filmmaker Agnès Varda.

As we were passing through Luxembourg Gardens, a woman ahead of us had hair that seemed Varda inspired.

Resumed shooting in a very different environment than Lyon. Scarborough, ON saw a lot of growth in the 1950s when the emphasis was on roads for cars and trucks. On the upside, there are numerous strip malls housing a wide range of independent businesses and lots of places to get delicious food.

I didn't know much about Lyon before arriving, and in the first few days it became apparent what a good city this is to walk in.

Traboules are internal passageways that connect buildings and streets. It was seeing a traboule in the film "Reise nach Lyon" that got me interested in coming to Lyon.
