Fallout 4 New Vegas is a project aimed to fully remake Fallout: New Vegas in Fallout 4's Creation Engine.
New Vegas has always been about more than just deserts, however. Mount Charleston, for instance, features some quite lovely greenery.

While for F4NV we're keeping some elements of the F4 Vaults - they're quite nice - we've still taken the time to rework them to feel more in-line with the NV-style.

Early on was also when we began planning for the ruins of 'old' Vegas. Considering the extra world size we have to work with, we've decided to focus on enlarging things and making more interesting spaces to explore.

Driver Nephi is practically living large now!

Those side by side comparisons really start to pop when you look at things at night, however.

At a few points early on, we did a few comparisons to the original game, just to show the enlarged scale of our worldspace, as well as the visual improvements Fallout 4 made available to us.

More early looks at the F4NV worldspace.

Some early showcases of our landscape and world space, as our art direction began to solidify and take form.

Often, we use the original pre-rendered backgrounds from the early Fallout titles to help inspire how things look and feel in F4NV.

Concepts were also done for the other parts of the map, these ones from deltatokyo as well - in this case exploring ideas for The Strip and Legion territory.

Continuing down the route of concept art, this piece of the Prospector Saloon was used to help inform how we might approach the look of the area (even if the F4 engine only permits us to take those ideas so far.)

Concept art is rarely the most necessary thing for F4NV, but with the extra tools we have on hand to help tweak and adjust the look and feel of our world, it doesn't hurt to explore new ideas. n this case, Team F4NV 2d artist deltatokyo helped with these tone pieces for our environments.

Way back in the day, this was the very first showcase we did of F4NV's worldspace - a small overlook not far from Goodsprings.
