I think Trump alone is who holds this fascist movement together. Vance is universally despised, Project 2025 has no popular constituency & MAGA is a creature of Trump's creation that is devoted to him only. His appeal is limited to a cult of uninformed suckers. True conservatives want him gone.

That explains why they cave to the extremists every time. The only way to defeat this is for honest, sincere Americans on both sides of the policy debate to fight MAGA tooth & nail. It's not a philosophical movement, it's angry reactionary nihilism from folks who haven't a clue. Arguing is useless.

If the president can ignore court orders and illegally circumvent, Congress, there is no Constitution. It’s gone. There’s no enumerated right that the president can’t take from you, no law Congress can pass that is binding, and no court that can protect you from any of it. It’s the whole ballgame.
