Making it Tulane's spot to lose is the right call. If Tulane wins out and are AAC champs, they deserve a #CFP spot for surviving a top heavy conference beating 2 P4 teams and really good G5 teams like Memphis and Navy or UNT. Nothing JMU has done or will do can compare to that.
