Yeah, one of Joshua’s friends wanted Pokemon cards for his birthday last weekend, and the only reason we were able to get some was that our local game store staff likes us enough to go in the back and shake a couple of packs out of the ones they’d set aside for store use.

Well, that’s enough to get me to buy it. Despite only sometimes enjoying horror, I have never yet regretted picking up a book you’re excited enough about to gush publicly.

The things one can do when one’s father “retired” from forestry by buying ~23 acres of redwood forest to putter in. This came from the stump of a tree that had to be cut by the house a few years ago, and Mom asked the loggers to slab it rather than grind it up - impressive chainsaw work.

Those books were one of my primary escapes in High School, I read them so many times that I joined the Science Fiction Book Club when I graduated just to get copies of my own & not be tempted to take the school’s with me.

True, that. I’d thought getting to the post office would be a lower activation threshold, but as I’ve been failing repeatedly at that it may be time to reconsider.
