An enjoyable day at the INRS - Institut national de la recherche scientifique facility in Montreal, hosted by photonics legends #Jose_Azana and Roberto Morandotti, touring impressive laboratories, exploring new collaborations and research ecosystems - and a great lunch.

Last night we gathered with colleagues and friends of IPOS for the biennial Peter Domachuk Memorial Lecture from Prof. Shanhui Fan (Stanford), one of the world’s leading minds in photonics and electromagnetism.
We closed with dinner at the Opera House.

We propose and demonstrate the linearization of a Dual-Parallel Mach-Zehnder Modulator by frequency-selectively controlling the phase and amplitude of the carrier utilizing a dual-pump, narrowband stimulated Brillouin scattering scheme.
