It's a bit of work to set it up correctly but the results have been pretty smooth and consistent (provided you're using Jolt).

Set up a proof of concept for this "swap places" mechanic. The Shockwave Effect tutorial by @nolkaloid.bsky.social was suuuper helpful in building this teleport effect. Any and all feedback is appreciated :)

Thenk you! It's one of those things that is not "necessary" in a prototype but I feel it makes me feel more comfortable at testing and nailing the core feel of the game early. But still, I try to be vary of over-engineering too early.

Thanks!~ Funnily enough I discovered 3D labels just today and was pleasantly surprised at how neatly it worked out of the box. Gonna be a staple in my prototyping workflow from now!

Haha I understand, that's my secret weapon (close to zero 3D art skills/experience) comes into play xD. I dread what to do when I need to move out of blockout, hire freelancers? buy assets? make something simple and write shader? Problems for future me.
