Labelling it as "chicken" is a pretty good indication of illegal imports, but in principle, salmon can be found in Belorussian rivers, particularly in the Viliya system.

He's talking about Taurus, because he knows Germany has already decided against delivering that one. Making the threat after the decision is useful propaganda because some people will fall for the idea that his threat was the cause.

I'm always wondering what he is referring to when he says: "even that's got a brighter side to it". In the song, the brighter side never seems to appear.

Cent coins are made of copper, and copper is red. A cent is also the smallest denomination which exists, so he is emphasizing that he didn't even get one of these.

"Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a person's enemies will be those of his own household."

They could deny passage to ships without adequate insurance. Should Denmark follow the same approach, then uninsured vessels could be blocked from reaching Russia.

So it seems Kazakhstan has recently increased their production capacity - with lower prices they want to produce more to maintain their income. Which in turn means the other OPEC+ countries want to increase their output too, driving prices even lower. Not a great perspective for RU.

Or maybe it's to move the targets away from Moscow, so that UA will move their attacks, too? Because politically it doesn't look great when they can't protect the capital. It wouldn't solve the core problem of successful UA strikes, but it would reduce the impact, a bit.

Agreed, I meant in a more general sense: like it follows a line and there is a sudden break and then the line continues at an offset - most structures don't have that, so it may decide to smooth it out.

Careful with that one, apparently the picture has been AI-enhanced. That might correct it to look like a less broken ship, because that's more common.

Like every Mafia-boss, Kim is forced to let heads roll. He might not be able to easily replace these people, but he needs to instill fear, otherwise his grip on power weakens.

From what I could find, they are changing the bogies at the border to match standard gauge, so that's quite a painful process even when the train sizes align.

Yeah, that would get us the 100/200 number. And export to China isn't the only concern, I suppose. But why the 142? At least go for 143, then he could export (2x142=284)=(4x57+56), and import (5x57)=(143+142). So he could take whatever China sends, and have only a minor capacity loss the other way.

I get that he wants to be more efficient, but I don't understand the target he is aiming for. Shouldn't he go for either 114 or 171 wagon trains? So that he could split the train when going to China, or join trains when coming from there?

I wouldn't at all be surprised if China was pulling that (given that they also claim the Manchus), but obviously that's the Mongol Empire, China was just a conquest.

There are only a few countries which produce high-tech components. Of course, they were made in the US and other Western countries. But e.g. computer chips are tiny - a year's supply for building missiles fits into a suitcase, and they are ubiquitous, too. Easiest material in the world to smuggle.
