The quote felt fitting, especially since there is a track in this mix called Van Gogh. Putting Van Gogh on the cover only felt right. The back cover has a sunflower, paying homage to Van Gogh's two series of still life paintings, Sunflowers. 🌻

The title of the mix is a quote from the book, "Tiny Beautiful Things" by Cheryl Strayed. When I first read it, I had to put the book down. I cried. I didn't choose the trauma that happened in my life, but I don't have to let it own me. I can choose something that brings me joy.

The songs that I clung to in the auburn season seemed to capture all my insecurities. And though they made me cry numerous times, they also made me feel seen. I am excited to share this mix.

when i grab you by the shoulders and tell you "darkness of the unknown" is the pinnacle of narrative music in just about any videogame on planet earth, it's not even about just about how many motifs fly at the listener without them even noticing

A number of artists and creators have made their home on Bluesky, and we hear their concerns with other platforms training on their data. We do not use any of your content to train generative AI, and have no intention of doing so.
