Printshops are an option too!

I highly recommend it, it is a really well organized event and typically it’s just $100 for the entire weekend. Apps open up usually around march

Its all about testing the water and putting yourself out there! Making art is always a gamble when making to sell sadly.
For edmonton, the whyte ave art walk in spring may be something to look into. (That one is super friendly for folks starting off selling fine art)

From vending at furry and non-furry events, I find that the furry ones tend to value the handmade and human touch a lot more
Like I always feel a lot more respected as a trad artist at a furry event than any of the art walks/artisan markets I vend at.

Then for stores; some of my work will be at the SDA Built popup in Dec and the QUILTBAG on whyte ave always has a mix of my pride and wildlife products.

I’ll get a nice graphic together soon! But my currently booked Edmonton markets list are: Geeky Gift Market Nov 22-23, Ridgewood Christmas Market Nov 29, Royal Alex Hospital Dec 4, Anvil Cafe mini market Dec 6.
Then for Calgary I just got the fur-eg Christmas party on Dec 13th.

Yeah! I’m gonna put some together as little keychains as well, maybe some ornaments too for holiday markets. I’m tempted to size up the design to make some pins too now :3

Right? I love them 😭 I was worried that they wouldn’t print nicely due to the scale (they are tiny at 1inch), but they ended up as my favourite out of my bird earrings

Anyway, I do have a good lineup of markets coming up that I’m excited for. A lot are small community ones that I love. Though I do miss my summer festivals, the smaller events are always much more relaxed.

Regular holiday markets are such a mixed bag, I’m trying to figure out the ones that are good for me.
The other vendors they are posting are like 3d junk (the dragons of course) They had more artsy vendors prior years, but not this year so that makes me think it was not successful for them then
