After having a dog who happily killed multiple skunks in her life (look, it was hard to stop her once she started), it's very weird to have one who's convinced everyone is his friend 😂

After a summer researching in & wandering around Nepal and Ireland, I'm back in SWVA with this goof who's decided summer (heat) is not for him, thanks.
Pretty much everyone I met in both places wanted to know what's going on in US (esp in Ireland)

Back to regular dog and nature posting- after spending his first year caged in a small crate, this dog was absolutely terrified of the car and being driven. He'd refuse to go in. Would tremble in fear. Took me months but look at him now!

Walked this dog 2 miles this morning to get him bathed and have nails done. No one was there. Place was quiet. Took me ages to figure out why 😂

Been teaching English Conversation for beginners on Saturdays and class is held at a local church. Found this book in their free library!

Spent a few days at #fairystone state park, where we met 2 people all weekend and there was no Internet. State (and national) parks remain some of the best things about USA

Never seen a dog go from "lived months in tiny crate, was terrified of everything, couldn't walk well" to "yup, I'm king of this world (sofa)" so quickly

There's many reasons why I'll never understand the US despite having lived here all these years and this here is one of them. Can't say Guy was biggest threat to democracy etc etc and then this! What next? Friendship bands?
