An underlying trend since the 1980s has been a transfer of wealth from labour to capital. Badenoch would resume that process, reversing gains about to be enacted on UK worker rights and further slashing social safety nets. Hence, she is primarily an advocate for powerful vested intetests.

The UK Conservative Party and Reform are both creating the illusion that state spending - notably on welfare - can be slashed, when all the pressures are upwards because of the demographics of an ageing society and instability caused by a more crisis-prone global environment.

There are those in the Trump Administration, all the way up to the very top, who have long-standing financial connections with Russia (same applies to a number of Arab States in the Middle East). They will put business opportunities before any principles of international law.

Discussions/negotiations taking place over the future of Ukraine once again show enormous amount of time Starmer and other European/international leaders are having to expend on managing a manchild in the White House, who would hand everything on a plate to Putin, so destroying European security.

Trump wants anyone else other than US to make up a Gaza stabilisation force and to fund its redevelopment. He incurs none of the costs but monopolises the benefits. America First. Under Trump, a purely transactional nation with no moral compass. Others are wising up to his recurring game plan.

It would be outrageous for UK taxpayers' money to further line the pockets of Trump. This US president is no better than a mobster. The BBC must not pay compensation under duress. It needs to stand up to Trump, fighting for its reputation and independence from political interference.

There is little doubt that senior figures on the Right of the political spectrum in the UK are using Trump to undermine vital British national interests - and with Farage little more than a messenger boy for Trump.

Badenoch and Farage (increasingly indistinguishable) view everything through the prism of their culture wars, including the latest traumas at the BBC. Yet, as is becoming apparent in the US, that agenda is already losing its traction with voters.

The only difference left between Farage's Reform and Badenoch's Conservatives is fiscal. Whereas Reform would bankrupt the country, a revived Tory Government would pursue austerity on steroids.

Looks like the Trump-Putin Summit has bitten the dust. Trump fooled again by Putin's mindset and motivation. Putin has a delusional belief that Ukraine is an integral part of the Russian Empire, not a sovereign state, with continuance of the war also a pre-condition for his own political survival.
