K, I fixed the root problem, whenever anyone got the password wrong or auth failed, it would crash the whole server. oops. Should be working now.

Yeah, sometimes it works fine, sometimes it just doesn't work at all.

Apple's activation servers can't activate A5 and A6 devices anymore* for some reason, so for some devices, you can restore, but then it's a brick (for A5, you need a RPi Pico or Arduino to bypass the activation)

*this depends on luck, sometimes it will succeed for some devices but it depends.

As of at least 2012, most of the official twitter iOS app still used the official API for the most part, which is cool.
