These reigons are generally more open but get much hotter than their high desert contemporaries, making them perfect for long-distance runners like Gallimimus, as well as one of the areas the spore-dropping Lymantria can be found. Just must be mindful of the many large rocks scattered-

Above the canyons are these elevated plateau that lack both the majority of the more dangerous creatures stalking the desert, and the harder-to-find resources. But they are good places to find mining tames like armored Ankylosaurus and traveling tames like the hopping Procoptodon.

hunting within the canyons include the incredibly resilient Daeodon, packhunting Hyaenodon, and spine-throwing Thorny Dragon.

The high rocky walls that form them make for an excellent natural defense and the cooler temeperature and rivers that stretch along the center of the desert make them ideal for settlements, yet one may have to fight off the beasts roaming here if they wish to lay-Claim to any of them. Those-
