Coming this Friday, 3/28, to celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility, I am offering new and past patterns for a donation to Trans Lifeline.

Cuttlefish (from 2024) will be one of the patterns available from the vault.

I guess I’m making my socials into weaving asmr vids now? It’s clear that I don’t really understand the internet, but like does anyone?

How is it I could finish another blanket so fast? Well it’s been in progress on the loom for 2 years, but I suddenly found the motivation to finish it up. It looks much better off the loom. Can’t wait to see it after washing!

Tonight we washed, brushed & snipped out blankets. It’s gonna be so fluffy once it’s dry! Oh man, this is the start of the year of blankets for me & Brienne, my giant loom.

Blanket is finished and I feel jazzed to make a whole bunch more rainbow blankets! Got to finish what’s on my loom first, but it’s nice to have weaving motivation again!

Spent the day at a weaving workshop - something I haven’t engaged in much for the past few years but it’s been really nice to re-engage in this craft. Makes me feel less guilty about the giant loom in my basement! Time to scheme up a new project.

I have levelled up my spinsterhood today. I now have a floor stand that will hold my stitching so I can stitch two handed more efficiently. One of the accessories you can get is an adapter that will hold a lace making pillow so it will be good for future craft hyper focuses.

I knit 11 rows on this now gonna be a sock tube because I still haven’t reached the end of the stripe repeat. This was done while I was waiting to see the doc at my clinic because I am indeed sick again for the third time in 2025. If you want to test your immune system, go work at the library.

Nothing like waking up on your day off feeling like you’re getting sick again 🤒

The travel BS continues on the flight home. Somehow a $3,000 ticket doesn’t get you an actual seat on the plane and each flight is individual so I have to check in all over again during my layover.

You can tell I’m on vacation mode because I’m soaking up vibes and not posting that much. Oh and Sunday was my birthday. There was stitching, an author panel & a dinner out with the Snow Bird Crew.

I was vibing on YouTube and stumbled across a few booktubers talking about how Amazon is removing the ability for Kindle users to download their ebooks to their computers, basically making it only possible for books to be read on Kindle-specific devices.

Here's the article explaining it!
Amazon’s killing a feature that let you download and backup Kindle books
It’s bad if you like to keep ebook backup copies.

Happy to report that the good bee was found and it makes Icketky Bickety Bumble Bee that much better.

Tonight at pottery I accidentally started making another teapot? This one is more gourd shaped than the last two and will be blue.

Today’s library drama involved not being able to find the “good” bee puppet for my kids program, so I had to make do with the weird left handed bee instead. Turns out not all branches even use a bee? If your bee looked like this guy I understand skipping the puppet.

That feeling when you sell 2 copies of the same movie to coworkers by putting it on the Staff Picks shelf.

TFW you help someone print and they’re like “I’m so glad you came to work today.” 😬 Like they pay me to do that? I’m here all the time? 🙄

I didn’t get any photographic proof, but I almost fully assembled 2 teapots tonight. The second one just needs a handle.

TFW it warms up just enough that my driver’s side door thawed enough to open 🙏🏻 #blessed

Did the classic thing my Mom does. Didn’t check to see what the TP situation was like before going to Costco and now I’m pretty sure we have a year’s worth of tp in the closet!

So it turns out running a trivia quiz goes by pretty fast if no one even tries to guess anything. 😬🙃🫥

Oh and I was on a Stitch4Pride roll yesterday & today. Here’s my progress and I even had to rip out a bunch earlier today!
February 4, 2025 at 12:59 AM
#Stitch4Pride gives me more faith in the contemporary cross stitch world. I also am very happy to be able to support 3 queer makers with this project. January’s motif was Elagabalus, a hottie teenaged Roman Emperor who is said to have drowned guests at a dinner party with rose petals.

An ode to shovelling snow during a Winter cold warning era. I think we have enough snow now friends!
